Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between the advantages of capital and the deficiencies of the European social movement, in the context of the European Union, and the liberal reforms affecting social and labour conditions in member countries. Secondly, the author examines the French case, which on its own illustrates well the difficulty of common action in Europe.
