Abstract
Starting from the fact that Marxism has no theory of democracy, the article aims at systematizing some of the main arguments about socialist democracy found in works by Rosa Luxemburg, Antonio Gramsci, Amadeo Bordiga, Max Adler, Otto Bauer, Karl
Korsch and Anton Panekoek, classified according to the following themes: exercize and control of power, political representation, parties and institutionalization. In this way, the article aims at contributing to the debate about a theory of socialist democracy, considered to be one of the great challenges for 21st century Marxism.
