Abstract
Marx's political criticism insistently highlights the fact that, when brute violence is not necessary, the political-ideological mechanism par excellence on which the maintenance of the class power of the bourgeoisie is based is to make its particular interests appear to the rest of society as "general will", that is, as everyone's interest.
