Abstract
Articulating the macro-historical level with the microscopic transformations that denote a structural crisis of capitalism is an arduous task. It requires, on the one hand, a broad portfolio of propositions and concepts, combined into a certain theoretical body, and, on the other, extensive work collecting data, information and empirical evidence, supported by a model of historical interpretation. This is the task carried out in the book by Gérard Duménil and Dominique Lévy.
