Abstract
The neoliberal political offensive in the 1990s brought with it an offensive at the theoretical level, which makes the following narrative uncritically accepted: due to a change in the production process, made possible by a third technological revolution, there would have been a rupture with the supposed previous homogeneity of the working class. As a necessary result of what happens in the production process, the form of contracting would have fragmented, giving rise to the explosion of outsourcing. In the last layer, would come the consciousness and organization of workers: irremediably broken, one could thus see the historical decline of trade unionism itself.
