“The capital and its preparatory writings”: On the launch of volume 4.3 of MEGA

Abstract

Between 1867, when he published Book I of O capital, e sua morte, in 1883, Marx lived for almost ten years, but he was unable to prepare the other two books of his greatest work of critical analysis of capitalism. Such a fact has since then constituted an enigma, traditionally explained by health problems or by false pauses in political militancy. Both circumstances have already occurred in Marx's life, however, and did not prevent him from studying political economy and developing it incessantly and intensely from 1857 onwards.
