Abstract
This text proposes a study on the analysis of international relations developed by Gramsci in the Prison Notebooks. Based on the principle that the author rarely used the concept of imperialism in their writings, the central question that arises is the existence of a possible incompatibility of the use of the concepts of hegemony and imperialism in this work. It is concluded from these readings and additional analysis of the works of Gramsci and the authors neo-gramscians that these concepts are complementary not antagonistic.
