Abstract
The work Woman, State and Revolution tends to become an important reference both in the field of historical studies on post-revolutionary Russia and in the debates taking place at the heart of contemporary feminist and socialist movements. Through meticulous documentary research, American historian Wendy Goldman draws an overview of Soviet society, from the October Revolution to the mid-1930s, with the aim of reconstructing the economic, political and social conditions faced by revolutionaries in
carrying out its project of female emancipation.
