Abstract
Created in 1923 in the heat of the ongoing Russian revolutionary process, LEF magazine brought together a large group of Russian writers, poets, visual artists and filmmakers, almost all of them committed to or aligned with constructivist aesthetic trends of a formalist nature. Such trends emerged in the mid-1910s and were representative of part of the European artistic avant-garde.
