The myth of the USSR's economic failure

Abstract

Was the destruction of the Soviet Union caused by the failure of central planning, as claim the enemies of socialism? The studies discussed here show this is not true. The success of capitalist counter-revolution must be explained by other factors, first and foremost by the failure of the ill-fated perestroika by Gorbachev, which led to the deterioration of public services, to the disorganization of production, the speculation on stocks and budget disarray.
