Abstract
This article discusses some Marxist perspectives on the causes of the current crisis, proposing a particular interpretation. Conceptions about profit rate decrease as the cause of the crisis and of crisis of neoliberal capitalism, especially its financial predominance, are confronted, and a particular view related to the development of fictitious capital is suggested. At the end some interpretations of
the current situation and its perspectives are presented.
