Abstract
The book revisits the issue of social classes and the challenges of interpreting social conflict. It states, from the outset, what it came from: analyzing and discussing classes as a theoretical and political problem, by exposing a long trajectory of affirmation and denial of the class struggle that originates in the capitalist social formation itself. Amorim and Silva explain that the struggle between classes is understood in the social formation and assumptions of capitalist society, which asserts itself in the dominant mode of production, mediated by ideology, politics and culture.
