Abstract
Sexe, race et pratique du pouvoir, by Colette Guillaumin, was originally published in 1992, bringing together articles written between 1977 and 1990, and republished last year. Sociologist, CNRS researcher, also author of L’Ideologie Raciste, published in 1972, participated in collectives of magazines such as Pluriel, Le Genre Humain, Questions Féministes and Feminist Issues. Works focused mainly on the category of race and racism, but, from the mid-1970s onwards, their analyzes also focused on sexual relations or, to use a concept coined by the author, sexing. In 1978 she joined the editorial staff of the magazine Questions Féministes (1977-1980), an important feminist publication that brought together materialist feminists such as Christine Delphy, Nicole-Claude Mathieu and Monique Wittig, and published some of her most important texts during this period.
