Abstract
Still little known to the Brazilian public, the French philosopher André Tosel (1941) has a unique trajectory within the scope of French Marxism. A militant between 1962 and 1965 in the Christian Student Youth (JEC), a progressive Catholic movement, the young Tosel became closer – under the influence of Louis Althusser, then his teacher at the Escola Normal Superior – to the Union of Marxist-Leninist Communist Youth, with a Maoist orientation. , the perspective from which he participated in the May 68 movements.
