Abstract
The text intends to discuss briefly the relation – of continuity, complementarity or rupture – existing between the work of Althusser before and after the development of Aleatory Materialism or Materialism of the Encounter. For this purpose, we take two examples that suggest the top two positions, and then argue in favor of the prospect of rupture between each phase.
