Abstract
In Warped: Gay Normality and Queer Anti-Capitalism, Peter Drucker mobilizes a vast set of philosophical, historical, sociological, anthropological, economic reflections, etc. to outline an impressive interpretative picture of gender and sexuality relations throughout the development of capitalism. And it does this by offering a rich materialist and historical analysis of sexuality and its “perverted” forms, with the aim of contributing to the theoretical foundation of a renewed and anti-capitalist LGBT radicalism. Drucker creatively appropriates Marxist reflections and categories, while at the same time engaging in dialogue critically receptive way with the contributions of socialist feminism and authors such as Herbert Marcuse, Michel Foucault and Gayle Rubin.
