Abstract

The magazine Période (revueperiode.net) has regularly published, since 2014, translations and unpublished texts on themes that it considers to be underrepresented in French Marxism. Those responsible for the website and organizers of the collection Pour un féminisme de la totalité also promote reading groups in different French cities. Through his reading group, Période inserts himself into the panorama of Parisian revolutionary collectives. In the introduction to the work, this is seen through dialogue with collectives that have an autonomous tradition, to whom they address themselves when they talk about “totality”. The book brings together a series of texts that seek to debate feminist groups that are engaged in the State. The organizers criticize the co-optation of feminism by state institutions, especially in Europe, which renewed an old alliance between white feminism and racist, imperialist and, above all, opportunist state policies. The work represents an effort to denounce these alliances between the right and feminist rhetoric, while at the same time offering a revolutionary path to those who are currently politicized.
