Abstract
The results of the general elections for the British Parliament are now known and will be analyzed in more detail in my next article. Which parties, during the electoral campaign, supported or fought against each other? Tories, Whigs, Liberal Conservatives (Peelites), supporters of free trade par excellence (FreeTraders – the men of the Manchester School, reformers of the parliamentary and financial systems) and, finally, the Chartists.
