Abstract
The debate on the period of Brazilian industrialization, which began with Getúlio Vargas in the 1930s, gains an original and important contribution with the book by Francisco Pereira Farias, Bourgeois state and dominant classes in Brazil (1930-1964). The book is a slightly modified version of the author's doctoral thesis, defended at the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH) of
Unicamp, in 2010, and is divided into four chapters
