Abstract

What is the “emancipation of the subaltern” and how is it achieved? The expression in the title vibrates as a problem throughout the entire collection of twelve essays by Marcos Del Roio published by Editora Unesp in 2019. Written on different occasions and with different objectives and now brought together, these essays will allow those who read them to have a good sample of the which is his production and will allow us to realize that the issue of the title of the work is permanent in his publications and academic initiatives in general. Within Brazilian Gramscian studies, in turn, Del Roio's research, for many years, has been oriented towards the problems and paths of emancipation.
