Neofascism, far right and racism today in Italy

Abstract

This article analyzes the right wing parties and organizations of Italy in relation to its radical neo-fascists; at the same time, it investigates the contacts between these two forces in areas such as political process, ideology and organizational models. It also discusses the strategies put forth by the neo-fascists to entice marginalized sectors of society; and the rejection of concepts such as multi-cultural and multi-ethnic societies while favoring the concept of “community” based on ethnicity.
