Abstract

This article tries to understand the forces behind Donald Trump’s Administration and examines them as a phenomenon of political sociology. In order to do so we propose the concept of neo-bonapartiste patrimonialism (NBP) to characterize the Unites States president by analyzing his conflictive relationship with the traditional structures of domination. At the same time, the article dismisses the possibility of analyzing the Trump administration through the mid 1930’s concept of fascism.
