Abstract

The new edition of Gramsci's prisms: the political formula of the united front (1919-1926) arrives fifteen years after its first publication by Editora Xamã in 2005, precisely at a time when anti-democratic mass movements are reorganizing and serving as a basis support for authoritarian governments. However, given the current situation of uncertainty and fragmentation of popular struggles, a historical lesson recalled by Marcos Del Roio emerges: the need to create a new global movement of contestation, antagonistic to the dominance of capital and capable of adjusting the various individual prisms. until obtaining the same luminous refraction – to record the beautiful metaphor proposed by Gramsci in the Quaderni del Carcere, used in the title of this book – reimbursing socialist praxis in the 21st century. Let's look, in general terms, at the content of Del Roio's book.
