Dialectic of cultural Marxism

Abstract

As much as the academy rejected the pamphlet genre, out of pride, ingenuity or passion for excitement, the workers' tradition never gave up on it, having even formed a master: Lenin. However, it is extremely important to highlight that simply using it is not enough, as producing a good pamphlet is difficult. Dialectic of Cultural Marxism (2020), by Iná Camargo Costa, achieved this by combining literary quality and relevant content within a form of greater circulation. This work as a whole – from the cover to the “little book” format, including the large font and the notes – is a great example of agitprop, as it addresses the public debate, fueling it by going beyond the limits of the need for propaganda socialist and the always welcome denunciation of capitalism.
