Abstract

Segrillo's book, Karl Marx: a dialectical biography, is divided into ten disproportionate chapters, which analyze how Marx lived in each city and what he went through, with the last chapter, “London, August 1849-14 March 1883”, being the biggest of all. Segrillo, in his work, reviews a large number of biographies of Marx that have already been written. In the article “Karl Marx: a biographical balance”, from 2017, he had already done this and this text served as the basis for the book's introduction. The author's source was Marx's work made available and organized by MEGA (Marx-Engels Gesamtausgabe), an ongoing project that intends to publish the complete work of both men and is available on the internet, including in the electronic catalog of the IFCH-Unicamp library.
