Abstract
The End of the Democratic State – Nicos Poulantzas, a Marxism for the 21st Century, organized by Jean-Numa Ducange and Razmig Keucheyan, consists of a collection of ten articles, subdivided into three parts entitled “State and Strategies”, “Histories and Communisms” and “Theories”. The book is the result of the Poulantzas International Conference, held in 2015 at the Sorbonne University, in Paris. Its title is suggestive and denotes the propositions of the contributions that make up the work: rescuing and demonstrating the relevance of Nicos Poulantzas' thought for reflection on the current character of the capitalist State in the search for possible strategies for overcoming it in the era of neoliberalism.
