Abstract
The Brazilian public was covered in 2019 by a new translation, published by Editora da Unicamp, of Political Power and Social Classes (PPCS), by Nicos Poulantzas (1936-1979). Originally launched in Paris in 1968, PPCS immediately surprised the European Marxist public due to the high scope of its theoretical project, its conceptual rigor and for presenting a systematic and unprecedented reflection on the State in the theoretical field of Marxism.
