Abstract
Karl Marx's Life, Ideas, and Influences, organized by Shaibal Gupta, Marcello Musto and Babak Amini, brings a selection of highly qualified articles, presented at one of the largest international conferences held in 2018 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Marx's birth and to discuss the relevance of his theoretical and political legacy. The book reflects the international diversity of participants at the conference, held at the Asian Development Research Institute in Patna, India. It consists of 16 chapters by academics from different parts of the world, among which only four are women. The deliberate approach internationalist is, without a doubt, welcome and necessary; and it is reflected in the heterogeneous nature of the revival of Marxism in the 21st century. The anti-dogmatic perspective can be considered the hallmark of the book.
