Marx and criticism in the way of representation capitalist

Abstract

Receiving the order from Revista Crítica Marxista to review the book Marx and the critique of the capitalist mode of representation, by Jorge Grespan, is, in addition to being a satisfaction, a challenge. Far from reproducing superficial analyzes of Marx's writings, Grespan invites us to a new reading, based on the distinction between the concepts of presentation (Darstellen) and representation (Vorstellen), thus seeking to expose the difficult relationship between subject and object underlying the work of Marx, particularly in Capital.
