Abstract

Without a doubt, Karl Marx is the greatest character in the science of modern industry. He has been the center of a violent controversy for three-quarters of a century, and therefore there are some people so fearful of his doctrines that they dare not study this man and his work. This attitude is unsustainable and, especially in this day and age, when the world is turning so widely towards Marxist philosophy, it is necessary to understand the man and his thinking. This short article seeks only to present to the judgment of black Americans the fact that Karl Marx knew their problems and sympathized with them.
