Abstract
The book The conservative restoration of philosophy is divided into three chapters that focus fundamentally on the analysis of the Brazilian Institute of Philosophy (IBF), an institution in São Paulo founded in 1949 and chaired by the jurist and philosopher Miguel Reale for five decades, until his death in 2006. . Reale played a fundamental role in debates in the field of Brazilian politics and culture, seeking to influence political and academic debate based on conservative and anti-democratic assumptions.
