Abstract

The recent publication of the collection of texts by Paul Mattick, Karl Korsch and Marxism, represents an opportune way of accessing rigorous and substantive knowledge of the work of one of the greatest Marxist theorists of the 20th century, still little studied and little read in Brazil: Karl Korsch. Its theoretical contribution, which involves, at the same time, the ability to explain the main constituent elements of Marx's theory and an analytical contribution to deepen and develop Marxism itself, attests to our initial statement. Its fundamental concern is to conceive of Marxism as a fundamental contribution to the self-liberation of the proletariat. Therefore, Marxism was conceived by Korsch as a theoretical expression of the revolutionary movement of the proletariat.
