Abstract
The article links the economic and political elements of the context in which the triumph of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) occurred in Mexico. It also discusses the causes of this electoral victory and the nature of the so-called “Fourth Transformation”. In doing so, it enters fully into the theoretical and political debate that is currently animating Mexicans: what is the nature of the government headed by AMLO?
