The formula "Asian mode of production" only appears once in Marx's work, it is true that in one of his most important texts, the preface to the Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy, where he expresses himself as follows: "In broad strokes, the modes Asian, ancient, feudal and modern bourgeois production periods can be qualified as progressive epochs in the economic formation of societies...".
