Marxism today: interview with István Mészaros

Abstract

This interview is a version based on the one published in Monthly Review (voI. 44, no. 11, April 1993) and which, initially and in its entirety, appeared in Radical Philosophy (no. 62, autumn 1992), conducted by Chris Arthur and Joseph McCarney. István Mészáros is a well-known Hungarian philosopher who collaborated directly with Lukács, at the University of Budapest, in the years before the Soviet intervention in Hungary in 1956.
