Resumo
O objetivo deste texto é apresentar o alcance e limites da (re)construção da teoria marxista das classes sociais empreendida por vários autores oriundos da corrente do marxismo analítico. Esses trabalhos fundamentam-se numa utilização de ferramentas metodológicas não marxistas com vistas a articular os enunciados marxistas (especialmente estratificação social e individualismo metodológico). Apresentamos e discutimos principalmente os trabalhos de Erik O. Wright, mas igualmente de John Roemer e de G. A. Cohen a fim de extrair uma posição marxista analítica sobre as classes sociais, e os confrontamos com uma leitura que julgamos mais em fase com a leitura de Marx.
