Resumo

The preoccupation towards scientific data management is a trend that aims to make research products more accessible and reusable. With that in mind, LIS - Laboratory of Information Systems, from the Institute of Computing - UNICAMP created the W2Share software framework, to store and manage scientific workflows. A workflow is a step-by-step description of a process used to fulfill a goal, usually expressed in terms of inputs, outputs and activities, or processes. Activities are mainly computer simulations or data analysis. The use of workflows in the scientific community aims to facilitate the reuse and understanding of research steps. However, workflow repositories do not offer features that allow users to evaluate the quality
of a workflow. It is not possible to differentiate what each workflow does and which one is more suitable for a researcher's goal. This project proposes a solution to that issue, implementing it in W2Share.
