Resumo

Na terceira fase da obra de Frans Post, de 1661 a 1669, suas pinturas alcançaram uma clientela diferente das fases anteriores. É o período com a maior quantidade de obras e nos inventários os preços são variados. Mas não só porque algumas dessas obras tinham um valor acessível que um determinado grupo iria ter interesse em adquiri-las. Então, quem eram os clientes de Post na década de 1660? Quem teria interesse no tema das Índias Ocidentais? Na naturalia exótica, nas ruínas e nos engenhos?
